Carbon heating film

Carbon heating film - The perfect solution for heating wood or laminate floors.

Note: For other floor coverings, the film can be overlaid with plywood followed by the actual floor covering (e.g carpet/vinyl)

Our carbon heating film is ideally suited for installation beneath wood or laminate floors. It is also a popular choice under carpet & vinyl when combined with a plywood overlay.

At less than 0.5mm thick , it has a negligible effect on floor height. The film is usually laid over our 6mm Depron floor insulation (which replaces the standard flooring underlay) to give a minimal effect on your floor height - less than 6.5mm ! This makes it ideal for use in both new buildings & renovations/refurbishments where floor height is usually critical.

Heat Output - The film is designed as a heating system (not just floor warming) & gives even heat coverage of the whole floor. It is available in two power outputs 130w per sqm for ordinary home heating & 160w per sqm for conservatories where higher heat losses are experienced.

Simple to install - The installation is simple & can be done by anyone with even the most basic DIY skills, however an electrician should make the connections. It is simple to work with & can even be trimmed on site if required.

Quality - The heating film is manufactured in the UK in a BEAB approved factory & has been used worldwide for many years. It is extremely reliable & comes with a standard TEN -YEAR manufacturers warranty, but should last a lifetime!

Digital control - The control of the heating system is via our simple to operate, digital thermostat which has a 7-day/24 hr timer built in. The thermostat is unobtrusive & takes up the same space as a standard light switch

Whilst the system is mostly supplied as a 'bespoke' item with systems being made to order, Floor Heating Systems do stock the carbon film 'made up' in several pre-selected mat sizes meaning, that it can also be sold as an 'off the shelf' item for most standard rooms.
